Wednesday 4 August
How can the weather change so quick? After yesterday's unpleasantness, today was a classic winter's day for this part of the world – crystal clear sky, crisp cold air in the morning, turning into a beautiful sunny, warm day.
We didn't do any road riding but visited three public schools at Kendall, Moorland and Coopernook; relatively small country towns nestled in some beautiful countryside. As usual, the kids were great – polite, interested, inquisitive, asked great questions, got involved in the Rickshaw DVD, and got very excited at riding the rickshaw. The teachers were great and got involved as well, even to the extent of riding the rickshaws around the covered play areas.
Several of the teachers commented that it was a really good program for the kids to see and that they thought it would impact some of the kids for a long time.
Going to sleep in Taree tonight.
