The weather produced a miraculous reversal of form and gave us a nice start to the day. Local lad, Rick, and Hozrot rode the rickshaw out of town, down to Sawtell where we had a meeting at the Sawtell Primary School.
All the senior students watched the Millennium Development Goals DVD and everybody watched the Rickshaw "Caught in the Cycle of Poverty" DVD. As usual, the rickshaw rides after presentations caused huge excitement.
The Mayor of Nambucca Shire, Cr Rhonda Hoban, joined us for the arrival of the rickshaw at Macksville. Hozrot took her for a ride in the rickshaw down the main street and a few heads in the local pub looked twice as they cruised past.
The Mayor immediately decreed that his name should be changed from Hozrot to "Hot Rod".
