Monday was a rest day for the team supporting the rickshaw ride. There
was also a change of personnel over the weekend. Valma and Kevin said
goodbye on Saturday and Dave on Monday. Nick joined on Saturday and
then Morris and Leo on Monday. Ross, Bev, Val, Khaleque and Hajrat are
still "powering on". The team over the weekend stayed at the home of
Ron and Desiree who live beside the beautiful Lake Macquarie . Thanks
Ron and Desiree.
Tuesday dawned cloudy and rainy. However, that did not stop Bill and
Glenda and Jo and Aaron. These two intrepid couples did all the
pedalling in the rain down to Budgewoi. Great effort.
The support team spent the rest of the day in a great holiday spot,
Budgewoi Holiday Park. The cabins are great and reasonably priced.
Recommended by all the team. Jeff also joined the team again after a 3
week break.
Wednesday promises to be very busy with 4 events. Not so much riding
but the team will be busy with a presentation at Wyong Public School,
Uni of Newcastle Southern campus (Ourimbah), Arrival event Kibble
Park, Gosford, and then a forum on making poverty history with the
Federal sitting member and local candidates at Mardi organized by
Oxfam.
