Great Aussie Rickshaw Ride 28th August

The day has been spent in the town of Gundagai. The only GARR activity
was a visit to the cultural icon, the Dog on the Tucker Box. We rode
the rickshaw up and down the area in front of the icon. It was not a
particularly touristy day but nevertheless we were underwhelmed by the
amount of interest shown. Of course when you come to the Dog on the
Tucker Box you don't expect to see a Bangladeshi rickshaw riding up
and down. We did take some photos of the team and the rickshaw in
front of the Dog. We also have a photo of Rose who works at the
Souvenir centre.
Gundagai like the rest of the country is looking good after the good
winter rains. Khaleque, Hajrat and I went for a walk along a stock
route in the late afternoon. We came across a flowing creek that
blocked our way. It was beautiful to see and hear, the sight and sound
of water bubbling along in its headlong plunge to the sea.
We are in Gundagai tomorrow morning and then off to Wagga in the
afternoon.
